What is a Celebrant?

A Celebrant is a new type of Officiant trained in the rites of passage and the art of ceremony. A Celebrant knows how to put together a ceremony that will be meaningful, heartfelt, intelligent and up-to-date. A Celebrant gives new life to our traditions and with reverence brings them into the new millennium.

What is Moving On! about?

This ceremony is a ceremony of Healing the Psyche that is within you.
To acknowledge the shock, fear and anger that may still be present, to embrace them, to rejoice in them and to allow them to go on their way! It is time for ‘Moving On!’
This ceremony in your personal way of saying thank you for the gifts you have discovered due to your Breast Cancer and to give you the necessary tools to Move On!

How shall I prepare for this journey?
What is it that you have brought with you on this journey?
How is it that you can step forward with this gift?
What do you need to support yourself now?
How can you move in the world anew?
Take some time, sit in a beautiful spot and write down your responses, read them, consider them, see where you are with yourself.

What shall I bring with me?
Bring your joy, your interest in discovering what is happening in your psyche along with this radical personal change you have undergone!
Bring with you the answers to the questions posed above along with the possibility of actually ‘Moving On!’ from where you are now!

Is ‘Moving On!’ for me?
It may be. ‘Moving On!’ is the recognition that you have been treated for your dis-ease and now its time to Move On! from that stage of life and into your awaiting life, your life that has been on hold since this occurred.
It is a Celebration and Welcoming of the change that you have undergone.
The chrysalis of your treatment is complete and now is the time for the emergence of your Butterfly! Now you are ‘Moving On!’

Is ‘Moving On!’ a Personal Ceremony or a Workshop?
It can be either.
Breast Cancer offers an amazing opportunity for transformation within your psyche and you are able to custom this ceremony to your personal journey.
You may wish to take this journey alone, share it with supportive friends or be a part of a workshop with others who undergoing this same transformation.

How do we start?
First you email me your interest – with an overview of what is happening for you. Letting me know what your interest in this ceremony or workshop would be. Include your phone number and a good time to talk with you.
I will then call you at the time you suggest or if due to prior arrangements my end I will organize another time with you.
The phone call 415.272.8358 – we talk and see and discover what would suit you the best a private or public ceremony or a group workshop. I will quote you a totally inclusive nominal fee – as I am aware of the huge medical expenses you have already undertaken.

‘Moving On! Ceremony’:

What if I decide on Ceremony?
I will ask you to complete the contract and send it to me along with your deposit, which holds firm your date and time. This will be a nominal fee as I am aware of the huge medical expenses you have already undertaken.
I will create a personalized ceremony that is tailored directly to you and your journey along life’s path. A journey that has you now ‘Moving On!’

Can I read the Ceremony before you perform it?
Certainly!
You can read it over, correct it, change it, add to or subtract from it, make it your perfect ‘Moving On!’
Email your perfected ceremony back to me.
When you are happy with the completed ceremony you then forward the balance of payment.

What happens on the day of my Ceremony?
I will arrive 15 mins prior to the ceremonial time. Check that all is in place and spend a moment of silence with you before hand to allow you to be fully present during the ceremony.
At the completion of the ceremony I will present you with a parting gift of my relaxation CD – ‘The Essence of You’. I will leave 15 mins after the ceremony is complete to allow you to continue to celebrate with your family and friends.

‘Moving On! Workshop’:

What if you choose a workshop approach?
We will discuss the next scheduled time available, if as yet a workshop is not planned then you have two choices.
One to invite your friends to take the workshop along with you, this will give you the opportunity to organize the best date and time for you and your friends.
Two or us to book a tentative workshop in about 4 weeks time and see if it is possible to go ahead.

What is a ‘Moving On Workshop’?
It is similar to the ceremony, although it has its own special flavor, as there will be a maximum of 5 women participating. Thus adding to the overall exploration of this precious time and allowing for an organic evolution during the workshop itself.

What happens on the day of the workshop?
I will arrive 30 mins before the workshop to organize all the last minute details.
I will complete the workshop with a moment of silence and as a parting gift I will present each of you with my relaxation CD – ‘The Essence of You’.
